The Role of Prolactin
Often known as lactotroph, prolactin plays a vital role in milk production in both humans and animals. It has been shown to play a role in over 300 different processes in vertebrates.
Low levels can cause infertility
Almost one-third of women in their childbearing years have high levels of prolactin.
